The league says it made the decision to reduce the suspension after "further consideration of the incident," which took place in the second period of Game 4 of the Western Conference quarter-final. Ho-Sang tripped Bell from behind, and the defenceman crashed into the boards. He was taken off the ice on a stretcher and suffered a broken leg. Ho-Sang received a minor penalty for the hit.
